Klender Flyover Supervision Tightened

The interactive park under Klender flyover, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, is utilized by street vendors. More than 100 street vendors selling at the area, or along park’s fences and sidewalk.

There are 5-10 Satpol PP personnel guarding the area. Later on, we’ll control them

Kardiman (50), one of street vendors, admitted he is selling from 6 PM to 6 AM. The scattered trash came from mid-day traders who bought from night traders.

Meanwhile, the unsold product waste is piled up inside the park. According to him, the cleanliness personnel was rarely to transport the trash. That’s why the traders burned trash inside the park.

Klender Interactive Park Improved

To be able to selling at the area, he pays cleanliness retribution Rp 5,000, lighting Rp 5,000, and security Rp 10 thousand. Hundreds of street vendors are not controlled by personnel and they are able to operate for 24 hours.

Cakung Sub-district Head, Alamsyah, admitted that street vendors outside the park’s fence are not his authority since they are occupying PT KAI’s land.

Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, those street vendors are selling in front of Klender Market up to Klender Station.
